Graveside services to be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Friday, June 21, at 10:00 a.m. for Steven Derek Reina. Viewing has been set for Thursday, June 20th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Steve was born January 17, 1961 and went to be with the Lord June 17, 2002. Steve resided in Bakersfield all his life, attending East Bakersfield High School, participated in football, wrestling, and golf, graduating in 1979.
Steve accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and was baptized in 1974 while attending Sierra Christian Summer Camp and was a member of East Hills Christian Church.
Steve was an avid pool player and over the years on the roster of many leagues. Steve also enjoyed fishing, and did so at every opportunity. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Dodgers.
Steve is survived by his parents, Frank and Nancy Reina; sister and brother-in-law, Sheri and Bob Best; nephew, Jonathan; nieces, Kelsey and Marissa Best all of Bakersfield, along with many uncles, aunts and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to East Hills Christian Church. Officiating will be Bob Best.
